Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

Our team of designers at Engin8, collaborated with industry professionals in designing the building systems for a new, multi-family development located in the northwest area of Las Vegas, Calm at Rainbow. The development includes a clubhouse with a gym and office space, nine residential buildings ranging from two-story to three-story with a total of 240 units, and outdoor common areas for residents to enjoy.
